October 23, 2008, I shared with all of you that Jeramy and I will be going through some life changes. In this process, our goals were to pay off my car and save money to have child #2. It has been a LONG 7 months! This has been the absolute hardest thing we have ever done/gone through. Our marriage was tested, as parents we were tested and most of all as individuals we were tested. There were ups and there were downs, tears came and went, anger and resentment were all around us. However, through it all there was LOVE. Not just the kind of love you share with your friends or your pets, but there was the kind of love you commit to one another as you joined together on that special day. And the only way we knew how to love each other was to pray for it. The older I get, the more I realize that prayer is a HUGE part of life, my life! Fifteen years ago, I would have never imagined my life where it is today and I have my Mother to thank for all of this. She has taught me that the foundation in life, in marriage and in family is prayer and trusting in the Lord. It may have taken me a long time to get here, but I'm here and I am giving God the glory!
Through hard times there is always good. And I have so many blessings, an absolutely amazing husband and beautiful, healthy little girl and a wonderful loving family.
Our goals are still the same and we are so proud to announce that yesterday, we paid off my car! Can I tell you how huge this is. I helped....but Jeramy, he has out done himself. He devoted himself to this goal for me. He worked endless hours and he killed himself every week in some form or fashion. He has given me the best Mother's Day gift of all. With this accomplishment, we can be confident that come December I will be able to be a SAHM(Stay at Home Mom)! Our issues are far from over, we still have a lot more to accomplish, but through prayer and trust and love we have been successful together and that is what a great marriage is made of!
Jeramy, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are my rock and I love you so very much!
And this my friends is my shout out to the Lord.
Happy are those who are strong in the Lord, who want above all else to follow your steps. When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of springs where pools of blessing and refreshment collect after rains! They will grow constantly in strength, and each of them is invited to meet with the Lord in Zion.
