Our Bean...

Then...

Ella Jean hit the 6 month marker yesterday and what better way to celebrate then to go get immunization shots!

It has been a wonderful journey! Ella is such a blessing in our lives. She makes us smile every time we look at her. She is learning new things everyday and taking in life as best as she knows how. As parents, Jeramy and I have had a lot of learning lessons! Even in the hardest moments I am able to think back to the wonderful day she was born and laugh at how sudden it all happened. She is our spontaneous girl and she fits into our lives so perfectly. Our Ella is a gift from God.

Now...

As I mentioned above, Ella had her big appointment yesterday and she was amazing. These are her stats:

Weight: 13lbs. 7.5oz (10%)
Length: 26 1/4 (50%)

I laughed so hard when I was told her length percentile. At her 4 month check up she was in the 20% for length, now 50th %. She is little, but she is long! Ella loves food... She would take food over formula any day. We are also working on sitting up. Just yesterday she began holding herself up with her arms! (see the above picture) I'm sure she will be sitting up all of the way in no time!

Thank you Ella Jean for being such a blessing in our lives!

Go Eagles!

Down a long country road comes a small town named Eagleville. Back in the day this used to be my stomping ground. There wasn't much to do except ride four wheelers and cruise the back roads at night. But all of that has changed...They have FOOTBALL!! Saturday was the jamboree for the Division 1A football teams in Chapel Hill, TN. Jeramy and I loaded up EJ and headed to the game to watch our friend Kent Coach and defeat Cannon County in their first game of the season!

Go EAGLES!!!

This is Kent's first year at Eagleville and I think th team is going to blossom! Here are some pictures from our fun night:

Does it get any sweeter...

This morning, I laid Ella on her floor to play while I was getting ready for work. I came in a little later to check on her and this is what I found:

She was fast asleep on the floor! Sorry it is blurry, I took the picture with my camera phone. What a sweet little girl :)

Easy Like Sunday Morning

After a busy weekend at the annual "Neighborhood Yard Sale," we were ready to just sit back and relax. Jeramy woke me up with a special coffee, half coffee/half cappuccino, and we enjoyed the morning together cleaning and playing with EJ. After lunch we headed down to Sugar Camp for some hiking and some afternoon sun.
We also enjoyed a game or two of Rummy!
I love these kind of afternoons.... Me , Jeramy and Ella just spending quality time together, we don't get that too often.

Jeramy's dad built this smoker and of course where there is man there is fire... Jeramy HAD to light it up to smoke out the wasps! ;)

Spontaneous: arising from a momentary impulse

If you know me, you know I love being spontaneous! I am always up for a spur of the moment road trip or camping trip.

Thursday evening all of the kids get a text message from Amy, our step mom. They were going on a weekend getaway to Sky Valley, GA and asked if any of us would be interested in a last minute trip to join them and surprise our Dad for his 57th Birthday. Well that sounds like fun, I wonder who else could possibly go? So I get on the phone to my lovely sister, who also enjoys these little road trips and asked if she'd be interested? 24 hours later we are on the road to the Georgia Mountains!

We got there about 15 minutes prior to my Dads arrival and surprised him with our presence! What a great surprise!!! His two daughters from Tennessee! Well I was excited anyways... We get finally get to bed around 2:00am, to awake at 7:30am. Baby's don't sleep very late... Shortly, Heather and her girls wake up and then comes Rachael and Emily(our little sisters).

We enjoy visiting with the girls and they are loving Rylee, Reagan, and Ella! They just love playing with them... Heather and I make a big pot of coffee and we enjoyed the morning sitting on the deck! (Could it get any better!) After everyone was up, we loaded the cars and drove to Highland, NC looking for some waterfalls and entertainment for the kiddos! We came to 2 little falls and at the second we all got out and played!

After a fun morning we headed to town to get some lunch followed by some ice cream! Yummy! Highland, NC must be some sort of ski town or college town but it was very Yuppie. It was a beautiful little town with lots of shops and B&B. After we ate we found a recreation area and enjoyed the afternoon swimming! On our way home we stopped by a fresh market on the side of the road to get veggies for dinner. We ended the night grilling chicken and veggies and eating Key Lime Birthday pie!

It was a great weekend and I 'm so glad we were able to be apart of Dad's Birthday!
